Dropper Post Custom Bushings

My god there are some problems with these Rockshox Reverb posts. The PTFE coating on the bushings just peeled away during normal use. The result was pure metal to metal contact and a bunch of scoring on the stanchion of the post. The tolerance on the threads of the main sealhead were so loose that I needed to use red loctite and a lot of torque to keep everything from coming apart and spewing oil. On top of all that they made the bushing inside the screw-on collar unremovable. The solution? Custom bushings made from a polymer I sourced from a local supplier. I machined away part of the lip inside the collar to get the old bushing out. The new bushings got sized perfectly to this post.
