Custom BB30 Adapter

This was a solution to a problem that involved two different parts that aren’t normally meant to work together. The parts are from a Specialized S-Works frame that normally takes a BB30 bottom bracket. The problem is that the customer was using an FSA SLK crankset that didn’t have any means to dial in the bearing preload like a Shimano Hollowtech crank. There was just a bolt that you needed to crank down. Of course you can easily overpreload the bearings from doing that so this design required a custom BB30 sleeve to keep the bearings perfectly spaced. You can see it’s been nicely machined with reliefs to save weight.
