Wide Range 8 Speed 1X Drivetrain

Over the past while I’ve heard it being called for again and again. Why don’t they make a high quality 8 speed drivetrain? You could bang shifts out with confidence every time because of the longer cable pull for each shift. There would be lots of allowance for all types of bad stuff like if the ride gets muddy, the cable gets corroded or if you bend your derailleur hanger. You could ride through a swamp and the thing would just keep on working. Chains would return to being thicker and wouldn’t break as often. And how about if it could fit on a standard HG freehub body? Backpedaling quickly during sketchy moments on technical climbs wouldn’t result in the chain dropping off the biggest gear. How about if it could be a wide range 1X system that’s light-weight with a cassette that has an aluminum spider? Well folks, here it is.

Use the cassette with any Sram 1X11 speed derailleur you have. I can install an 8 speed ratchet in any Sram 9 speed shifter, be it X7, X9 or X0. I’m currently working on being able to install an 8 speed ratchet into Sram 10 and 11 speed shifters.

The cassette has an 11-46 tooth spread and you don’t need any special freehub body to use it. The percentage jumps between the gears have been made to be as even as possible.

That’s right. Individually replaceable gears on each of the alloy carriers. The cogs are bolted on instead of riveted. I’m trying to reduce the waste we’ve been producing with cassettes in the past.
